Made by the Turkana Tribe, each piece is hand-finished to give it the rich, time-worn gleam of an African historical piece.
Each item is smoked in a kiln for a good length of time to create that beautiful, smoky color. These alternate ridges and grooves, prevent cookies or bread from sliding off the tray. and they are fun too bringing that antique décor look at the party.
Because of the handmade quality, no two pieces are exactly the same. Disparity in color, shine and size ensure that each piece has its own unique character and beauty.
Each reproduction is passed down through generations.
Not dish washer safe. Hand wash and let air dry. Treat with cooking oil for a lasting look.
